Yagua Limited Special Cigar by JC Newman

Not normally released in Great Britain by J.C. Newman no two Yagua cigars are the same in looks and shape. This is because of the unique way they are rolled and bunched.

The story starts at the Newman PENSA factory in Nicaragua, where factory manager Lazaro Lopez told Drew Newman about how his grandfather used an old rolling method that involved the use of an under-fermented (wet) wrapper to produce his private blend of cigars. Once rolled, the cigars were wrapped and tightly bound with a leaf from the Yagua tree, also called the  Cuban Royal Palm. This method of production meant the shape of every cigar was influenced by other cigars in close proximity within the bundle.  Only 20k are produced.

Rarity Rating 9.1

Now back in production in using this traditional method, the cigars are left for at least 12 months to mature, and the small quantities produced (20,000) are normally sold in the U.S.

The wrapper is U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf with Nicaraguan fillers and binder. The profile is medium to full bodied  with leather, chocolate and coffee notes along with pepper and dark chocolate.
